Ray Robles

Hello! My name is Ray Robles and I come from Weslaco, Texas, USA. I love dancing, particularly bboying 
"breakdancing", acting, writing, and drawing.

As a teacher, my first strength and a priority for me is to gain the trust of my students. I feel I can do that 
by providing a fun and safe learning environment. I find that once a student trusts their teacher, the doors to 
learning are opened and true growth and strengthening can occur.

I enjoy teaching for the pure joy of seeing my students grow mentally and physically in their learning environment.

My most recent favorite moment in teaching came when I asked a new student if they could dance.  Their
 parent shared with me that they had never taken a formal class before.  When I asked the child to dance for 
me with no hesitation he began jovially moving across the floor.  He was not worried if he looked silly or what 
others thought of him, he was purely living in the moment and he truly did shine. 

"We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing" Children are my 
reminder to always be willing to try and learn new things.

After having class with me, my students will have gained confidence and a better understanding of their 
bodies and its strengths. My students will have learned the importance of being a team player and to be respectful 
of others personal space.
